Kyle Jackson, CEO and Co-founder of Talespin, tells us about his company and what excites him about the XR industry. The following is a transcript of our interview with him.
3E: Can you introduce yourself and tell us about the company you’re here to represent?
KJ: Hi, I’m Kyle Jackson, I’m the CEO and Co-founder of Talespin. At Talespin, we’re working on bringing together domain expertise from computer vision, machine learning, game design and development, enterprise IT, and then also business transformation to architect solutions that are gonna change the way we work. We’re focused on mixed reality over the long term, right now we’re using virtual and augmented reality to test ideas and drive ROI based on just how different this spatial medium is. So after three years of working with large enterprises, we’ve been able to really distill down to a couple of core products that we’re focusing on – one around collaboration and other around business intelligence. Both very collaborative, both meant to be multiplayer, cross-platform. Basically meant to be the start of a kind of this distributed, intelligent, on-demand, knowledge future. Right now, we’re still building foundations for products that will release two, three years from now, but servicing needs that are that are here today, and use cases that we’re, you know, getting great results out of them.
3E: What have you seen at VRX that excites you and why?
KJ: What’s really exciting is that a lot of people that are kind of on the forefront of what’s going on where ROI is being driven back into business. Some of the biggest businesses in the country are looking very closely at the future of work, and how these things come together, and how it’s going to redefine our daily experience, and they’re looking at that through a very human lens – not necessarily a business lens. Those things are aligning. I’ve had several conversations around all of the other intangible things about these mediums that we hope to bring your surface, so that’s been both really exciting and insightful. The conversations that we’ve been able to have here driven our roadmap and our plans forward significantly.
