For the first time ever, Facebook will offer a special virtual reality (VR) livestream of its F8 2019 developer conference on April 30th at 10 AM PST in Oculus Venues for Go and Gear VR – but no mention of Rift support, however.

Though Facebook streamed their Oculus Connect conference in VR last year (where the Quest was officially named), the company’s use of VR for its mainstage event could double-down on further integration between Facebook and its VR ventures. At the event, it’s expected that the keynote this year will provide the launch (or hopefully the launch date) of the upcoming Quest and Rift S headsets. The lack of support for the original Rift in the streaming line-up could be Facebook’s way of further distancing themselves from their first generation PC VR headset.
