Super Bowl LV watch parties are yet another of the traditional social gatherings to fall prey to Covid-19 CDC recommendations, but once again, VR is here and ready to save the day. Bigscreen, a free Virtual Reality (VR) app offers a solution for those with compatible VR headsets that support the app.

Bigscreen allows friends to convene in a simulated environment where one user shares their desktops screen for the other users to see via the app on their headsets. Groups of friends then watch the  game projected onto a huge virtual TV in a personal environment within the simulated environment. There, the users can gather as avatars, chat and cheer for their teams, commercials, and the halftime show while all watching the same broadcast in real time, as close as they could get without actually being together in person.

This is another example of how VR technology can close the distance between people and create real-life solutions to everyday obstacles.Find more information about Bigscreen and how you can use it when watching Super Bowl LV this weekend here: https://www.roadtovr.com/watch-super-bowl-in-vr-with-friends-free-remotely-social-multiplayer/
