As featured by technology and telecom editor Travis Hoium, multimedia financial services company The Motley Fool detailed three implementations on how virtual reality (VR) can be used for training, further legitimizing VR’s use cases to a wider financial audience. Hoium cites Walmart’s VR training for its 1 million-plus employees, body camera manufacturer Axon’s VR empathy training with the Chicago Police Department, and Vikings quarterback Case Keenum’s 2,500 “VR practice reps” helping the football team achieve an 11-3 record.

“With millions of people worldwide going through various training programs in VR and tens of thousands of headsets being sold to companies doing training,” Hoium wrote, “It’s conceivable that more people have used VR for training purposes than for playing games. This is important because the platforms companies are building lend themselves to different use cases.”

Recognition from wider media outlets on the validity of VR for enterprise use-cases is helpful to our mission here at Th3rdEyeXR. By bringing the financial world’s eyes to VR, both the XR and financial fields can be better served overall.
