Virtualitics, an award-winning data visualization and analysis program, is changing the face of data science. The California-based company merged artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual reality together to provide data scientists and business analysts alike a new way to discover and interact with data insights.
Their commercial program, Virtualitics Immersive Platform (VIP), first uses AI to simplify data science, configuring the best variables to plot based on what the user’s key performance indicator (KPI) is. The software automatically creates a visualization of the different variables, allowing users to view the various relationships the data has with the KPI.
The program then maps this data in 3D, offering two different virtual environments to view and interact with the data visualization. Through their Shared Virtual Office, Virtualitics allows users to collaborate and view data in real time on desktop or VR.
For those with data analysis experience, this technology offers new ways to view, manipulate and interact with complex data. For those just beginning to understand data science, VIP’s AI facet provides assistance with identifying different variables, anomalies and relationships, extracting key insights with ease.
“Data scientists are in high demand and there are simply not enough of them to satisfy the need,” Ciro Donalek, CTO and Co-Founder of Virtualitics told BusinessWire. “Our software bridges this gap, allowing non-data scientists to exploit sophisticated machine learning routines in a few clicks, and at the same time greatly improving data scientist’s workflow through high-dimensional visualizations and a way to build powerful narratives to explain their models to key stakeholders.”
Virtualitics isn’t the only company utilizing AI and VR. While VIP works with data and numbers, leading XR developer Talespin is using AI and VR to teach communication and interpersonal skills.
